Nutrition Counseling

Individualized nutrition guidance by the nutrition experts - Registered Dietitian Nutritionists. We help you find a flexible, sustainable approach to their eating and health. We can help you feel less stressed about food, help you gain more confidence in your own body's cues & signals, and most importantly - meet you where you are.

You might be wondering, what is the difference between a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and all the other "nutritionist" terms out there? Click the link here to read about the difference.

A RDN needs an extensive amount of schooling, supervised practice, and must pass a national board exam. In addition, must complete continuing education credits throughout registration & follow a board of ethics. RDN's are the only practitioners legally able to provide specific nutrition recommendations to individual's with chronic health conditions. "Nutritionist" on it's own is not a regulated term. Essentially, anyone could call themselves a nutritionist!

Great experience, the guidance was excellent. I learned how to eat healthy and still enjoy life.

Ice Cream Cone

I took away establishing a healthier relationship with food, exercise, and sleep. I understood how protein and fiber is very important in satiety.

- Kim

For me I kind of new the basics of what I should be doing for my nutrition but I was definitely not doing that. So they gave me some tools to use, to make an easy adjustment. I was seriously feeling better in weeks!

Appointments & Fees

We do take insurance! A valid payment card is required to be on file prior to your appointment (even if using insurance) due to our no call no show/late fee. Scroll down to read more about your options & late fees.

Your First Appointment

These are generally 60-90 minutes in length where we primarily get to know you! We want to know about your nutrition goals, concerns, barriers, physical activity, medical conditions, stress, sleep habits - and much more! Like stated in our "about" section, your body weight will not be the primary focus of the appointment, nor will we shame you for it/your food choices. We will neutrally walk through your current eating routine, environment, food preferences, as well as your thoughts/beliefs about food and your body. We will narrow down what you want to accomplish in our work together, what are some initial areas of improvement/things to work on, and then schedule your follow up to monitor progress and provide further recommendations.

  • Initial Appointment (~60-90 minutes in length) will be ~$180+ billed as follows...

    • </=52 minute appointment: $135.00

    • 53 - 67 minute appointment: $180.00

    • 83 - 97 minutes: $270.00

Follow Up Appointments

These are generally 30-45+ minutes in length (varying depending on insurance benefits, type of nutrition concern, guidance needed, etc.). This is when we will monitor progress, provide further guidance/nutrition education, address any barriers/struggles, and more!

Our Dietitians are in-network with BCBS, United Healthcare, UMR, Aetna, Medicare & Medicaid (Aetna Better Health, Sunflower and United Healthcare State) insurances. If we are in-network with your insurance, our Administrative Assistant will call on your behalf to check what your nutrition counseling coverage looks like.* Many insurances have preventative health benefits that can cover up to 100%! If a co-payment, co-insurance or deductible is due, your card on file will be automatically ran for the amount owed.

If we are NOT in-network with your insurance, you will have to pay out of pocket. We do not offer sales/coupons due to our contracts with insurance. However, we can provide you a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. A superbill is a pdf document we can provide after you pay/complete your appointment(s) that contains information your insurance would need to run out-of-network benefits. Your Dietitian will help you with this.

*We ask that you keep in mind we are calling on your behalf to check benefits - this is not a DETERMINATION of benefits. We understand it can be difficult and confusing to maneuver insurance, so we try to help as best we can. We are separate from your insurance company, and if they deny your claim or state that you owe, you WILL be responsible for the payment.
